A Certificate Program for Young Leaders

• Are you interested in learning valuable professional and leadership skills while playing with kids in the outdoors this summer? 

• Additionally, are you interested in receiving a formal certificate to supplement your future job and college admissions applications?  

• Do you value connection, relationships, growth, and learning? Do you have a special place in your heart for young or first-time summer program attendees?

Counselor in Training (CIT) program: 

• Are you a rising 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th grader? Ages 11-14

• CITs work with their instructor and a skilled intern as a group of up to five to learn leadership skills, build community, and get to know our unique outdoor program in a new way.  

• Mondays and Wednesdays are in the field all day. Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings assist with activities with the younger camps, and afternoons are back in the field.

• $225 per week. Week of July 4th: $170. Monday - Thursday 7:45 - 3:15. CITs and Interns are eligible to lead activities for Camp Cool-down from 3:15 - 5pm upon approval. There is no cost for aftercare. 

Counselor Internship: 

• Are you a rising 10th or 11th grader? Ages 15-16

• Volunteer for up to 4 weeks each summer with our camp programs. 

• Interns work closely with our seasonal staff instructors to collaboratively lead groups of campers during songs, games, hikes, and activities.

• This an unpaid internship.
